Spring 2026 Afterschool Classes
Backyard Beekeeping with Dimitri Barton and Jenna Frank of J&D Bees
Discover the joy and wonder of beekeeping in this suits-on & hands-on learning experience with two of our most inspiring farm educators!
Students will also participate in all stages of honey production from harvesting, processing, tasting, bottling and sharing.
4 Mondays (April 27, May 4, May 11, May 18)
4-6pm
Ages 9-18
at Hawk Creek Farm (203 Cotter Street)
Classes can be taken on an individual drop-in basis or as a series.

Course fee includes supplies and materials.
Dimitri Barton comes from a multigenerational family of beekeepers and keeps bees on his roof at home in El Granada.
Farmer Jenna and Dimitri are collaborators in beekeeping at Hawk Creek Farm.
