May Farm Experience
Introduction to Harvesting Native Plants and Making Plant Medicine with Emelina Law, Hawk Creek Farm Land Ambassador

Saturday, May 17th
10am-1pm
$35 individual; $60 per group (two or more people)

Children under 10 should be accompanied by an adult.

Learn how to grow, harvest, and process native plants the medicinal uses of native plants.

Emelina is a Curandera, Plant Communicator, medicinal plant caretaker, and a bilingual (Spanish & English) Nationally Board Certified teacher who lives in the Mission District.  She believes deeply in the importance of serving the earth and doing everything we can to reverse the impact of climate change with small, meaningful everyday acts.  She helps other people connect to their inner magic through learning about nature, working with plant medicine, and finding moments of balance and joy in San Francisco.

This Farm Experience includes:
  • a tour of the farm and brief history of the land
  • invitation to participate in a Land Ambassador-led farming project
  • Hawk Creek Farm tea and snacks
  • opportunity to harvest and bring home some farm bounty
  • time to explore and enjoy the beauty of the farm, including visiting our hens

Farm Experiences are open to the public and all ages are welcome.

January Farm Experience
Introduction to Backyard Beekeeping
​with Dimitri Barton of J & D Bees

Our first-ever Farm Experience will be "INTRODUCTION TO BACKYARD BEEKEEPING" with educator and beekeeper Dimitri Barton of J & D Bees!

Monday, January 20th - Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday
10am-1pm
$100 per adult; $50 per child

Children under 10 should be accompanied by an adult.

Dimitri comes from a multigenerational family of beekeepers, keeps bees on his roof at home in El Granada and is one of Farmer Jenna's collaborators in beekeeping at Hawk Creek Farm.

This Farm Experience includes:
  • a tour of the farm and brief history of the land
  • invitation to participate in the Introduction to Backyard Beekeeping workshop
  • Hawk Creek Farm tea and snacks
  • opportunity to harvest and bring home some farm bounty
  • time to explore and enjoy the beauty of the farm, including visiting our hens
